Hack 4 Good: A Social Action Multidisciplinary Hackathon
What is Hack 4 Good?
It takes a village to solve a problem, from the inside out and with everybody. ME, WE, ALL, our motto, represents this founding principle. Our Hack 4 Good welcomes all Georgia State undergraduates, from any school or college, to engage in categories of problem solving that fit your skillsets and/or major: (1) media, (2) government/corporate policy, (3) consumer products, (4) apps & platforms, (5) creative arts. Your innovative teams will also identify, analyze, and use good data to guide your proposals.
When you register, you will rank your preferred categories from 1 to 5. We will do our best to put you on teams that represent one of your top two choices, but no lower than your third. Make a compelling argument for your top two to help us place you in a category you will enjoy and excel in!
The Social Action Alliance is now accepting applications for the Spring 2023 Cohort.

FAQ
1. What if I can't code?
You don't need to be tech-savvy to join this Hackathon! All skillsets are welcome!
2. Do I have to stay overnight?
Of course not! College students need rest--however, Friday and Saturday are long days. Plan ahead/get ahead so the Hack 4 Good does not disrupt what is due in your classes.
3. Will transportation be provided?
Events will be held on GSU's downtown campus on Friday and Saturday Transportation will not be provided to campus.
On Sunday, there will be free parking at the award ceremony location (to be shared with registered participants), and there may *possibly* be free transportation for students from GSU to the ceremony. Stay tuned for updates.
4. Can I come with a group?
Yes! Groups are more than welcome to come. However, please make sure your group does not exceed 5 persons and you must indicate a disciplinary category you will be solving within. Also, don't feel pressured to find a group. This is a new kind of hackathon, so we will assign everyone a team, to represent all categories of problem solving disciplines.
5. Will food be provided?
For sure. Food is fuel, and we cannot take care of social issues if we cannot take care of ourselves.
